Lydia's Song
- Item #: Lydia's Song
"Even enemies came to the festival because this was a time of peace. No one was allowed to fight at the Holy Stone. Sometimes enemy warriors decided that it was too much work to be enemies anymore, so they became friends. Things happened that way." Quote in back of card.
For almost forty years Jon Turk wandered through exotic and remote landscapes and returned to write and speak about his adventures, the people, and the environments that he has been lucky enough to encounter.
In Siberia, the harshest of lands, he met Moolynaut, a shaman of the Koryak people. Through her teachings, and the patient conversations of many men and women, he began to see the world as our ancestors saw it. His website and his new book, "The Raven's Gift" tell the story of his search for physical and spiritual healing among the people of forgotten seas and tundra.
These cards were made by Jon Turk's friend, Marion Mackay, from photo collages of the people and landscapes in "The Raven's Gift".
The cards are printed on glossy paper, with a collage on the front and a quote from "The Raven's Gift " on the back, and plenty of room to write a message on the inside.
